Stereotypes: Why are We so Quick to Judge?

There are a variety of theories regarding stereotype formation. Your job is to understand them all and decide which one, based on research and your own analysis of course, is the most valid.

Stereotypes are defined as a social perception of an individual in terms of group membership or physical attributes.  It is a generalization that is made about a group and then attributed to members of that group.
