Source analysis is a key skill in not just history class, but all classes. You need to develop the ability to look at a stimulus and say, “what is this? What purpose does it serve? And are there any inherent biases that could be corrupting the knowledge produced by the source? In a history context, we use a helpful acronymn: OPVL which stands for: Origin; Purpose; Value; and Limitations.
